Graduated from the University of Genoa, Italy, in 1996. Since 1998, he has been working in the Directorate-General for Interpretation of the European Commission.

Since 2015 he has been serving as Head of the Italian Interpretation Unit.

As an interpreter, he works from French, German, English, Spanish, Dutch, Slovene, Bulgarian and Russian into Italian.

He is also an experienced trainer.
